Because He Loves Boats

They told us that because we had a dry summer this year, we probably wouldn't have a very vibrant fall. But across the pond, and then the river, all I see are colors everywhere. And I am so grateful for such gifts.

I had just come in from feeding the fish and it was warm and muggy just the way I like it. I've always felt like the air is soft, when it's like that. I was gathering the things I needed to make dinner and I looked out the window and noticed a very large sailboat floating by. Grabbed my iPhone and ran, hoping to catch it before it passed me by completely so I could show Jim when he got home. He loves the boats more than anything, and sometimes misses the best ones because he has to work.

Found him standing in the kitchen grinning ear to ear when I came back in. Those little moments are the best ones of all.

I like that we have the perspective of being up high here, in addition to being down low. It reminds me that there is always more than one way to look at a thing, and definitely more than one way to see.
